When I was at Art College I decided that what I wanted to do was to paint pictures that explore and express freedom, not just political freedom but mental freedom and hopefully I could sort myself out in the process. I therefore decided to investigate what it was in Art that I really wanted to see or what lifestyle I really wanted to portray and what a non-messed up head would be like. I wanted to pursue beauty.

So I set out on a journey which led me through topics such as Religion, New Age, Philosophy, Psychology, Science, Culture, and especially, Art. Did I succeed? Well who cares? I certainly enjoyed myself in the process and now I feel I know enough about Art to be producing the kind of Art that I wanted to produce back at Art College.

The gallery here represents the results of these explorations and the rooms are best seen in date order with the earliest room being viewed first. There is a sense of progression running through them although it is not always for the better.

Therefore I would like to show off my paintings in my small corner of the Art world - a small corner in an expanding Art world where the only guaranteed rule is that there are no rules - just opinions. All Art is good. For my part I have tried to explore the mind for a better way of living and chose to express this in the kind of images that I love.
