‘Frame of Mind’ is a series of paintings I did for my degree show in 1991. They mark the beginning of my search for joy based Art and exploration of the mind. I did initially write a complimentary short story, which I used to inspire me with ideas to paint, but the story was so bad that I abandoned it leaving me with just these images. I still think they stand up well and are very original. The idea being that the grid represents a mental framework that some people are connected to at that particular time and some people are not.
