2006 - Use your Imagination

‘Use your Imagination’ represents where I am today. I draw an image on paper then project it onto the canvas and outline it, then paint it in Acrylics. This means I lose none of the original image in copying which I always used to do. I cannot copy or re-paint paintings, it just doesn’t work. Acrylics also allow me the speed and flexibility to paint as fast as I like to, they beat oils in every way except for the inner glow oils have and that is quite a trump card.
The images are of independent women utilising their imagination to interact with the real world. I'm quite pleased with them and will continue in this vein for some time. They incorporate everything I like to see in a painting and are the sum of all I have learnt this far.
